 Will/Be Going To

  

       In this course, you will become familiar with the distinction between utilizing "will" and "going to". Both of these are utilized to discuss the future, but they have somewhat various implications.
Anyway, when we're discussing the future, we're discussing any time after now, correct? Not the past, not the present, whenever after now. And we can think about the future in many different ways in English and we have many different tenses and expressions that we use to talk about the future, but let's focus on our today's topic. in the following, I will give you the uses of "Will" and "Be Going To".

Will + Infinitive:

1. A decision was taken at the moment of speaking/unplanned decision.
Example:
                Mother    : There is no milk in the fridge.
                Daughter :  Really! I will go and get some.

2. A prediction based on an opinion.
Example:
          _ I think John will succeed this year.

3. A future fact.
Example:
          _ The sun will rise tomorrow.

4. For promises, requests, and offers.
Example:
        _ I will help you then if you want.
        _ I will visit you tomorrow. Promise! 

Be Going to + Infinitive:

1. A decision was taken before the moment of speaking/planned decision.
Example:
             Mother    : There is no milk in the fridge.
             Daughter : I know. I am going to go and bring some.

2. A decision based on something we can see.
Example:
          The sky is very cloudy. Maybe it is going to rain.
